Who is Boundary Supply and the Hawaii Sweet Company
Boundary grew from an intention to make highly functioning products through technical innovation. We wanted to curb the appetite of consumerism by making resilient goods and support initiatives that directly benefit the environments we draw inspiration from. Through function-driven design, we create essential products that suit the dynamism of everyday life, on or off the trail.
Owned and operated by Hawaii Sweet Company, the shop is on the island of Maui and is where small batches of decadent Fudge, Fudgelettes and Brittle are produced.
The Challenge
The complexity of managing food and backpacks from multiple factories. With locations in Toronto, Canada, and Hawaii, the business ownership needed a supply chain review to identify and improve their flow of products from Asia into the USA and Canada.Â
Fulfillmate's Solution
Fulfillmate re-engineered the supply chain using our forwarding division to streamline ordering and increase container utilization. Working with our fulfillment and distribution teams, we identified each company’s fastest and most cost-effective locations within North America.Â
The Outcome
We provided an overall cost-saving, faster fulfillment process within the USA and improved visibility and control from factories to end customers. In addition, our international team identified customs and duty benefits.
